Any health care center or provider is welcome to contact the WVRHITEC and take advantage of the information it has available.

For those wanting direct assistance or services, they may consider joining the WVRHITEC as a member. The REC is designed to assist three groups, in particular:

1. “primary-care providers”
2. rural and community health care centers and
3. primary care physicians working with critical access hospitals

These may be eligible to receive priority training and technical assistance...some at substantially subsidized rates.

Among the services and training resources provided by the WVRHITEC will be ones on electronic health records, "meaningful use," understanding federal incentives and privacy/security. (Click here to read more about WVRHITEC's services.)

The membership fee is $300 per practice. Membership in the WVRHITEC provides access to assessment services, technical assistance capabilities and web-based resources....all at reduced rates for the direct technical assistance and customized services that the WVRHITEC is offering. Centers/providers also will be required to pay for the direct technical assistance services it requires (subject to eligible subsidy discounts...as available). Other services available to members will be group purchasing opportunities.
